Welcome to MJ's Big Farm!
MJ's Big Farm is tucked away a few kilometers from our small village of Baddeck, located on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. New to us in 2022, the original farm house was built in 1864.
The property offers 96 acres of mixed woodland, marshland and meadows with brooks and ponds throughout.
We are excited to work hard and make the property our dream and forever,
Big Farm!
Our favorite part of the property is our 1.5km private road that leads down to the Baddeck River. The dogs get to enjoy lots of free play; running through the woods, sniffing and swimming, almost everyday.

I (Jade) have spent endless hours researching canine health, nutrition and behavior. Over the last 12 years breeding MAS, I have witnessed great triumphs and crippling heartache. I have tested many new ideas and "fads" over the years, through trial and error and have learnt a lot from each success and every past mistake.
Everyday is a new adventure with our amazing MAS right by our side.

The kids on MJ's Big Farm
I would like to give a special shout-out to my beautiful children who have been raised amongst the pack. They have studied each lines pedigree, understand canine genetics and the health concerns that can affect the MAS breed. The kids help with whelping and will stay up all night if needed. They go on daily hikes, clean up dog poop, trick train and spend hours cuddling and loving each and everyone of them.
